The C4 Permanent Trim Restorer functions as an extension of the plastic molecule it is protecting by means of a covalent or chemical link. C4 exchanges a portion of its molecular structure with the surface molecules of your car's trim, which is not to be mistaken with the far weaker electrostatic bonds utilized by, among other things, PTFE-based polymers.
